Cool Strip Waxing
Cool strip waxing is still the most popular method of waxing, at Ruby May we use only the highest grade of wax Oritree containing soothing and antiseptic properties.
Your therapist, using a wooden spatula, will place the warm wax onto the area of hair growth. Then, with muslin cloth placed over the top, and in one quick movement in the opposite direction of the hair growth, will remove the hair.
For best results you should, depending on the individual’s hair growth, have this treatment repeated every four to six weeks.
In between appointments you should never pluck or shave the area as continual waxing will make the hair growth very patchy and sporadic.
Clients who suffer from dry skin should ensure that they exfoliate the area and moisturise regularly, this will help with in-growing hair and for those who have quick re-growth, this will help to pull the whole hair out rather than allowing it to break just under the skin on removal.
